I hope this message finds you well and enjoyed another great spring season of softball! I’m reaching out today with some exciting news that represents a unique opportunity for the future of our league.
Hillsborough County Parks & Recreation has recently presented us with a new opportunity that could bring growth and added resources to our organization. The County is now allowing local organizations like ours—those with existing Field Use Agreements—to host up to four travel softball teams in addition to our current recreational and Xtreme programs.
This is a significant development, and one that we believe could benefit our league and its players in many ways, including increased visibility, elevated competition, and potential funding that could help improve our facilities and programs.
To explore this opportunity responsibly, our Board has worked diligently to draft proposed bylaw amendments that would allow our league to move forward with this option in a way that stays true to our mission and values.
I invite each of you to review the proposed bylaw changes, now posted under the “About Us” section of our website. Your feedback and participation are vital.
We will be discussing and voting on these proposed changes during our next General League Meeting on Wednesday, June 4th. Please mark your calendars—your voice and your vote matter.
This is an exciting time for our league, and I look forward to continuing this journey with all of you as we shape the future of softball in our community.
Thank you for your continued support!
